James Beattie has won Capital One's Player of the Year March award, netting his fourth accolade this season in the competition.

Beattie, currently the third top scorer in the Championship, found the back of the net on three separate occasions in March in games against Ipswich, Plymouth and Norwich.

Blades fans have been voting for the Capital One Player of the Year each month in the Sheffield Star.

Speaking on receiving his award, James said: "March was a great month not only for myself but also the team, with four consecutive wins helping to push us up the table. It's great to know the fans are still right behind us, even though the season is coming to a close."
