Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Paddy has chalked up over 200 appearances since arriving at the Lane in 2002 and he was already a popular figure with Blades fans before a fine season in the Premiership.
In his time with the Club he has won Player of the Year awards, played in FA and League Cup semi-finals and a Play-Off final before promotion was secured in 2006.
Earlier in his career, he was rejected by Halifax Town before impressing at Bradford PA and signing professionally for Bury.
