With pre-season in full swing, fine tuning his squad is the name of the game for boss Kevin Blackwell, as he looks to have a real tight knitted unit for forthcoming campaign.

Despite strength in-depth being a vital ingredient to success Blackwell, is keen for all his squad to have the belief and desire to play on a regular basis, although he admits there is likely to be a shake-up in terms of personnel first:

"The squad is a bit lopsided at the moment, we have got some areas where we are overloaded, so I will be looking to shape things up in that respect.

"We have an abundance of strikers and you can't keep them all happy. It will probably be the case that I move a couple out and get it back to a really competitive environment.

"If not some may lose their appetite and I want hungry players at this club, but they all have to be able to see a path into the first-team."

On the subject of players leaving the Lane, the Gaffer has reiterated that any transfer dealings will be done on the Blades terms, which he sees as a major plus:

"We are in a position to look at every aspect and I won't get rid of anybody until the situation is right for Sheffield United. A good thing is any decisions can be based on football, which is best for the Club."
