Blades land another nomination
Sheffield United has received a second awards nomination inside a week.
The Blades have been shortlisted for the Conference and Event Marketing accolade, at this year's official Football Hospitality Awards.
Independently assessed during the season, United are amongst some of the best clubs in the country for running conference and banqueting facilities.
The Official Football Hospitality Awards, in partnership with Stadium Experience, will take place at a gala dinner on 22nd May at Leicester City's Walkers Stadium.
In its nomination, United were specifically credited for their professionalism and the deliverance and clarity of information provided on events staged at Bramall Lane.
It also highlighted their development of a conference and banqueting website and measured how well staff answered telephone enquiries.
United has some of the biggest conference and banqueting facilities in the region, with more than 76,000 guests served at Bramall Lane every season.
Simon Argall, Operations Director for Sheffield United PLC, said: "This is tremendous recognition for the team as more than 45 football stadiums are appraised as part of the awards and here at United we aim to be amongst the best."
United have already been nominated as a regional finalist in the 2008 National Business Awards, which take place on 17th July in Liverpool.
The Blades are shortlisted in the North East category for the Corporate Social Responsibility Award in recognition of their extensive community programme.
