Chengdu's three match winning run came to an end when they were defeated 3-1 against Tianjin in the sixth round of the CSL on Friday night.

The home side, playing under their new manager Zuo Shusheng for the first time, ran out comfortable winners, despite Wang Song scoring for the Blades.

Tianjin began the brighter and Wu Weian tested Fu Bin in the opening minute. Hao Junmin then centred for Wang Xiao, but he headed over when well placed moments later.

The Blades' first opportunity came in the 13th minute, but Yao Xia failed to convert Zhang Chaosong's cross from the right.

Taida opened the scoring seven minutes later when LOUIS capitalised on some poor marking to head home.

Chengdu continued to press on though. and got their just reward in the 35th minute, WANG SONG finishing with ease after a mistake in the Tianjin defence.

Parity was only restored for two minutes though as ZHANG SHUO fired the hosts back in front from the penalty spot, after Wu Weian had been brought down in the box.

In the second-half the Blades pushed for an equaliser but the home defence was in no mood to surrender the lead and in the 80th minute LOUIS scored his second and Taida's third to seal a deserved win.

Manager Li Bing was understandably disappointed with the defeat, but insisted lessons could be learnt from the game:

"We have started the season very well, but after losing against Tianjin we still have many lesson to learn and areas to work on.

"One thing we didn't deserve was the penalty decision - the referee got it wrong and the match turned on that decision."
